An adaptable beardtongue with white to pale lavender tubular flowers in early summer. More tolerant of shade and moist conditions than many penstemons. Provides valuable early-summer nectar when bees are raising their first broods. Forms tidy clumps with attractive foliage that stays presentable all season.
