The showiest and most beloved native aster, with tall stems topped by masses of brilliant violet-purple flowers and golden centers that blaze in fall. An absolute monarch magnet during fall migration. A fall garden essential that thrives in moist, sunny conditions. Cut back in early summer for a bushier, sturdier plant.
