The milkweed for woodland gardens, with large, nodding white-and-pink flowers in early summer. Thrives in partial shade where other milkweeds struggle. A monarch host plant that also feeds the caterpillars of cycnia moths. Long-lived but never aggressive, taller than other milkweeds, and reliably returns each spring.
